Nanci Kerby has photographed internationally in France, Ireland and Tahiti, as well as in Hollywood, San Francisco, and the Napa Valley, her chosen home. She photographs advertising images, people in business, winery events, company informal gatherings, corporate images, and licenses stock images worldwide. To maintain inspiration and creativity, photographers often pursue personal projects. Nanci likes working with models, and for her present project, she is creating Old World Portraits. She has enthusiastically embraced a new direction of portraiture inspired by the OLD Renaissance Masters Paintings. She and a fellow photographer are shooting a series of “Painterly” Present day Renaissance Paintings. These elaborate “portraits” include The Set design, the costuming, the jewelry and the significant accoutrements to illustrate the sitter’s societal position in the painting/photograph. The finished enlargement is then varnished and layered with several coats of clear medium and then cracked to resemble an ancient piece of art. Old World Portraiture in the present. Nanci and her camera manage to find the enchanted memories of wonder, excitement, tears, heart felt smiles, shrieks of laughter, joyful greetings, family portraits, beautiful surroundings, private moments, eye-to-eye silent communication and tidbits of fun throughout the day. Nanci photographs a wide array of wedding celebrations from the intimate countryside wedding to the magnificent manicured estate weddings in the Napa Valley, Sonoma, Santa Rosa, and Vallejo areas as well as numerous beautiful Golf Club weddings now as popular as other venues. Original images from the wedding event are provided in Proof albums combining stylish Black and White or Sepia photo journalistic prints along side traditional color “beauty” portraits created to work well for bride and grooms wedding albums in 2004. Bride and grooms may create their own customized album selecting from 300-500 proof previews to tell their own celebration story and choosing those favorite images to be enlarged for maximum appreciation. Art Leather Bridal Albums as well as Digital Online wedding photographs, for friends and relatives to view and order, are two of the choices available to Nanci’s wedding couples.
